Weather for the Century

The world is now facing complex and composite environmental issues. We’re confronted with numerous threats to peace and security but this article addresses the national security implications of climate change.

Climate change has an extremely heterogeneous character .The world has recognized that natural climate disasters have an added human character.

As the atmosphere and oceans warm, climate change will bring uncertainty and hardships almost everywhere. Just as nuclear Armageddon would have resulted from human failures, global warming is the product of activities and decisions of humankind. Scientists have ascertained that global warming is underway, and they believe that climate change is happening very now. Most likely the poorest countries and people will be harmed due to their vulnerable locations and limited resources, which make it difficult or impossible for them to adapt. Nothing can be said about the pace, precise and impact of climate change.

“The pressure of our number, the abundance of our inventions, the blind forces of our desires and needs are generating a heat-the hot breath of our civilsation. How can we begin to restrain ourselves?”

As climate impacts become more apparent over the next few decades, they will impinge on structure and functioning of our value chains and industries, the resilience of the organizations, individual work practices and patterns, and the social order and the broader governance system upon which the organizations rely.

Neither climate change nor the mitigation of climate change is neutral in the effect it has been on the well being
