The Question: Is a New Bitcoin Even Possible?
Here, I’ll try to answer the question: Is a new Bitcoin even possible?

You might take the stance: “No—Bitcoin is a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime money creation.” Or, you might think the exact opposite: “There has never been a true ‘one-of-a-kind’ in human history.” I know—some of you reading that second view probably thought of religion. You know the story. But let’s keep the focus on blockchain and crypto… lol.

Bitcoin is still just a collectively accepted idea. In other words, the collective mind of humanity had to undergo a process of acceptance—one I’d argue still hasn’t fully taken hold even today—for a new financial system.

When I still see people online saying Bitcoin is a scam, I’m flabbergasted. At this point in Bitcoin’s lifecycle—and yes, it is a cycle—it doesn’t even matter if it was a scam. If you don’t hold at least a tiny bit of this “crypto funny money,” you might be making a foolish mistake.

Yes, I’ve written before that Bitcoin could be a Trojan horse, a scam, even a financial trap. Those things might still be true—but that doesn’t mean I’m not a holder of digital money. To me, and many others, Bitcoin and crypto in general are just ideas. But that doesn’t mean they should be ignored.

Fiat money is just as much of a risk as investing in Bitcoin or other cryptos. In my opinion, the only thing that gives either system stability is the collective acceptance behind it. That’s what gives it enough structure to be taken seriously.

Now, I’ll admit—Bitcoin appears to be one-of-a-kind. But appearances are often deceiving. That’s why I believe people should be actively searching for true Bitcoin alternatives. The only way to spot new opportunities is to detach from the belief that Bitcoin is some untouchable “unicorn.” Many have elevated it to such status, which—if you think about it—is a kind of delusion.

Oh no! Here comes the Bitcoin Maxi mob… lol. I’m just having a bit of fun to make a point. And if anyone should understand what I’m saying, it’s the crypto maximalists themselves.
