We always tell our clients that the right preparation is as important as the actual laser treatment. Doing the wrong prep could lead to the cancelation or rescheduling of your appointment.
So, for a hassle-free laser for facial hair experience, you should keep the following in mind:
- Do not wax or pluck before the treatment. Take note that laser face hair removal targets the follicles inside your skin. If you pluck or wax, you’re pulling out these follicles, which technically means there’s nothing to treat! Remember: you can shave, but you should never wax before a laser treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure. The UV rays from the sun will make your skin susceptible to burns and irritation. So, at least 2 weeks before your treatment, skip sunbathing, tanning beds, and other similar activities.
- Pause certain medications. Make sure you consult your doctor about stopping your blood thinners or photosensitizing medications before the treatment.
