Abstract
This study looks at the haemoglobin (Hb) levels in street dogs from Hetauda, Dumkibas, and Kawasoti, Nepal. These dogs were part of an Animal Birth Control (ABC) program. We collected blood samples before their surgery. We used Sahli’s haemoglobinometer to analyze the blood. We used Python for statistical analysis. The results help us understand the health of street dogs in these areas. This can help improve their care.

Introduction
Street dogs are very common in Nepal. They usually do not get regular veterinary care. Haemoglobin levels tell us how well the blood can carry oxygen. This is important for health. In this study, we measured the Hb levels of street dogs from Hetauda, Dumkibas, and Kawasoti. This helps us understand their health. It also gives us a baseline for future veterinary work.

Materials and Methods
Study Area: We studied street dogs from Hetauda, Dumkibas, and Kawasoti, Nepal. These dogs were part of the ABC program.

Sample Collection:
Capture and Restraint: We caught the dogs using dog catchers. We restrained and muzzled them for safety.
Blood Collection:We took blood samples from the radial vein. We used IV cannulas. We stored the blood in EDTA tubes.
Hb Determination: We measured the haemoglobin levels using Sahli’s haemoglobinometer.

Statistical Analysis:
We used Python for all the statistical analyses.

Discussion
The Hb levels of street dogs from Hetauda, Dumkibas, and Kawasoti vary. Some dogs have lower Hb levels than the reference range. This might be due to poor nutrition. It could also be due to infections or chronic diseases.

Hetauda: Dogs from Hetauda have the highest average Hb levels. This might mean they are in better health. They might also have better nutrition.
Kawasoti and Dumkibas:Dogs from these areas have lower average Hb levels. This suggests they might have health issues. These issues need attention

Conclusion
This study gives us important data on the Hb levels of street dogs in three areas of Nepal. It shows the need for regular health checks and veterinary care. This will help these dogs. Future research should look into why some dogs have low Hb levels. It should also find ways to fix this.
