The Directorate of IP & T organized a 2-day Monsoon Tourism Festival at Carbyn’s Cove Beach on 13th-14th July 2024, aimed at promoting A & N Islands as a year-round destination. The festival featured various outdoor activities such as Tug of War, Beachside Volleyball, and water sports like Kayaking and Jet Skiing. The event also included a friendly beach volleyball match, featuring the Chief Secretary of A & N Administration, Mr. Keshav Chandra.
A music and dance show was held at Marina Park, with a large crowd cheering the artists. Cultural events were performed by various artists, and dance performances were enjoyed by the audience. The program featured a diverse range of programs, including folk dances of Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, UP, Bollywood songs, flute performances, and Lavani Dance by the children of Seva Niketan.
Vendors at the Carbyn’s Cove Beach sold smoking hot delicious savories, catering to visitors’ taste buds. The waft of aroma emanating from freshly made food/savories offered a whole new experience of gastronomy, drawing foodies to the counters. The event was a success, with many people actively participating in the activities and applauding the artists and cultural groups involved.
