Step 1: Gather Necessary Tools and Equipment
- Dahua IP camera
- Ethernet cable (for initial setup)
- Power adapter (if not PoE)
- Computer or NVR (Network Video Recorder)
- Router or network switch
- Dahua configuration tool (can be downloaded from the Dahua website)
Step 2: Connect the Camera
Plug the camera into the network using an Ethernet cable.
Power the camera via a PoE switch, PoE injector, or power adapter.
Ensure the camera, computer, and router are on the same network.
Step 3: Find the Camera’s IP Address
Download and install the Dahua Config Tool from the Dahua website.
Open the tool, and it will scan your network for Dahua devices.
Note the camera’s default IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.108).
