1. Academic Qualifications:
For GATE Ecology, candidates have to meet the requirements, as mentioned below;
Qualifications include;
- Eligible applicants with a relevant degree at the bachelor’s level such as those in environmental sciences, biology, or any other related field from a recognized university will qualify
- Eligible applicants with, or pursuing a postgraduate master’s degree in ecology or any other related field.
- In addition, the integrated programs of study with a view to awarding degrees of equivalence to that of a Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
- The criterion includes all candidates with diverse backgrounds since they can sit for the GATE Ecology examination.
2. Age Limit

1. Registration
Registration at GOAPS
He needs to register himself using a valid email address and mobile number on GOAPS portal. Further login credentials are generated in the form of an enrollment ID and password.
2. Form Filling
After successful registration, candidates need to log in to give his personal details like name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and educational qualification while filling up the forms.
3. Uploading Documents
The photo, signature, and educational certificates shall also be provided along with the required caste certificate also in case it is needed.
4. Fee Payment
Fee details based on category:
Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates: ₹ 900 (online-mode) and ₹ 1400 (offline-mode)
Other candidates: ₹ 1800 (online-mode), ₹ 2300 (in offline-mode)
5. Submission
All such information has to be filled in and all the documents required also uploaded along with the submission of the form because no corrections would be allowed later on post-submission.
