Hamari Pohchan be ain Delhi-behs NGO that has been working tirelessly to aid the marginalized since 2015. Our missions are to provide opportunities to unkempt people so they can create their identity. We’ve helped educate 11250+ children, provided employed opportunities to 2000+ women, distributed 10,000+ monthly hygiene kits, and 1500+ corona packages.
As the pandemic continue to wreak havoc on the economy, unemployed has reached an all-time high, with the Periodic Labour Force Survey revealing that one in four woman in urban areas is unworking. The youth and woman be the worst hit by this crisis, and it’s high time we take actions to provide them with equal and ample chances to earn a livelihood.
At Hamari Pohchan, we believe that every independently deserves a chance to create their identity and stand on their feet. That’s why we launched our ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, aimed at providing unworking woman with vocational training and a platform to sell their produce. The response has been overwhelmingly, and we’re proud to state that we’ve made a significant impact in the lives of thousands of women.
Our ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative be built on the concept of self-sufficiency, or ‘Atma Nirbharta’. We believe that by empower women with the right skills and chances, they can support themselves financially and create a better life for themselves and their families.
Through our often training programs and workshops, we’ve imparted vocational skills to over 2000 women, covering a range of practices such as makeup, candle making, diyas making, arts and crafts classes, and music lessons. We don’t just stop at training; we also provide these women with the right equipment, chances to work, and a platform to sell their products.
