Hamari Pahchan – A promise we can count on

The battle against hunger and poverty stands as one of the most pressing issues demanding our utmost attention. Night after night, approximately 190 million Indians suffer from the anguish of going to bed hungry. The number is alarming and so is the problem. India’s placement in the latest Global Hunger Index dropped to 101 out of 116 countries, signaling a concerning trend in addressing food insecurity. Eradicating malnutrition in India requires collective action from all of us and efforts need to be put in right away. The flame of hope is wavering but is still ignited due to sympathizers like the NGOHamari Pahchan , a Delhi based organisation that is tirelessly working since 2015 for the betterment of our society. The founder, Mr. Tarun Mathur shaped the organization in order to make Delhi a safer place to live and thrive in. The NGO endeavors to eradicate social injustices such as hunger, illiteracy, and period poverty, while also advocating for causes such as menstrual hygiene and the well-being of the elderly. Among their various initiatives, combating malnutrition stands as a significant goal they strive to achieve, and they have successfully raised funds as part of their campaign to fight against it all. Hamari Pahchan works for that sector of the society that’s marginalised and is often neglected. Making efforts in urging people to join the NGO they strive to create a new world where every individual can find their own ‘Pehchan‘.
