The 15-member Indian squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup was revealed on Tuesday, April 30, by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The tournament is scheduled to take place in June in the USA and the West Indies.
Hardik Pandya has been selected as vice captain, with Rohit Sharma continuing to lead the team. Virat Kohli’s spot on the team wasn’t guaranteed, according to some reports. Nevertheless, the former captain of India has been picked, and after 11 years, he will want to help India win the coveted ICC trophy. After a 14-month absence, Rishabh Pant made his professional cricket comeback during the current Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024
The team’s all-around spin bowlers are Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja. Aside from Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav is the other front-line spinner. It follows that a “Kul-Cha” reunion could occur during the main event. Along with the first fifteen players, the Rohit Sharma-led team has also picked four reserve players. The reserves are Avesh Khan, Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, and Khaleel Ahmed.
