Introduction:

In this certain instance the non-governmental organizations have played a very vital role in assisting the government in means to develop the society. The main objective of such NGO is to provide access to education as well as providing basic amenities like sanitation and healthcare. Kicking off in the year 2015, Hamare Pahchan NGO had been playing a crucial role to aid the disadvantaged which had raised them as one of the best NGOs in the capital town. By focusing on critical issues such as education, menstrual hygiene and malnutrition has launched various projects with a sole reason which is to focus on community needs and prioritizing the development of the unheard.
Project Drishti:
“To bridge the gap between privileged & underprivileged children”
India has the world’s largest illiterate population, which is around 270 million adults who are illiterate. Project Drishti was based on the sole idea that only education acts as a tool to break the cycle of poverty enabling individuals to secure a better job and livelihood. Furthermore, this initiative focuses on inculcating basic life skills which induces the beneficiary on personal development. It fosters critical thinking and awareness, equipping marginalized communities with the skills needed to advocate for their rights and participate actively in society.
Along with this, the “Gadgetshala” initiative was also introduced to aid the students of the Drishti classes with internet and gadgets. Mentors are assigned to assist the group of children in the learning process and ensure that they benefit the most from the resources.
Sukhad:
“Break the silence, end the stigma”
India is struggling to do well in Menstrual Hygiene and the sole reason for this is the social taboos about menstruating women and girls remain significant barriers to achieving period equity. Sukhad is an initiative aiming to destigmatize menstruation education communities about menstrual health and providing menstrual products. Renowned gynaecologists were hired to conduct frequent informative workshops. The sole purpose of this project is to drive systemic change, ensuring that menstruation is treated with dignity and respect.
Project Skill development:
“Freedom is not for Timid”
According to CMIE, the unemployment rate for women in rural India was 17.1% in June 2024. To address this pressing issue, a comprehensive skill development project aimed at empowering women is essential. Project Skill Development seeks to provide women with basic skills that enhance their employability and promote gender equality in the workplace. Many small-scale projects were aligned with this such as “Vocal for Locals” which aimed to provide vocational training for unemployed women and also provide a platform to sell their products. The project “Atma Nirbharta” was introduced based on the concept of self-sufficiency, which aims to empower women and to make them financially independent. This project not only addresses immediate employment challenges but also paves the way for women to thrive in an increasingly competitive job market.
Project Malnutrition:
“If you cannot feed hundred then just feed one”
Around 74% of India’s population could not afford a healthy diet, and 39% fell short of a nutrient-adequate one and India’s 2023 GHI score is 28.7, considered serious according to the GHI Severity of Hunger Scale. Hamari Pahchan has come up with an initiative to address this issue at the ground level. Project Malnutrition was created aiming to end malnutrition which not only enhances individual health but also paves way for a healthier future for all.
Project Social Entrepreneurships:
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started”
To make this world a better place everyone should join their hands together to fight social evils, that’s the idea Mr. Tarun Mathur believes in, the founder of Hamari Pahchan NGO believes in. This ambition has resulted in opening the doors to fervent youths to contribute to society’s upswing. Workshops have been organised teaming up with many experts in their respective professional fields. This has resulted in a massive success. Over 50,000+ youngsters were provided with community service opportunities within the last 2 years. Each and every year thousands of students join this NGO as social entrepreneurs, thanks to project social entrepreneurships.
In addition, Hamare Pahchan NGO have come up with various initiates to address new challenges:
- Plantation drive: To address the demeaning of the environment, this initiative’s objective is to plant as many trees as possible to promote economic conservation and raise awareness against global warming.
- Food distribution drive: The founders of this NGO believe that hunger is not an issue of charity but an issue of justice. Enormous success of Project Malnutrition has paved the way for this program. The sole objective of this program revolves on food distribution among the unprivileged.
- Support for the elderly: This program aims to invest in the well being of the elderly population by ultimately prioritizing on improving their quality of life and providing community resources. This ultimately results in reduced hospitalizations. This initiative not only benefits the elderly but the community at large.
