Here are a few tips and tricks that will increase the chances of Tiger spotting in Ranthambore National Park.

  1. Choose the Right Time and Right Zone: The right time to spot the  Tigers in Ranthambore is during the summer season. The best time to visit this park is from October to February but the best time to spot tigers is during summer according to me. I  have chosen this as the best time because during summer they can easily be spotted near water bodies quenching their thirst. Now, the best zone is totally up to your research. Every zone has its unique features and sightings and every tourist who comes to this park has their own preference. It is very important to choose the right zone for booking the safari.

  1. Book a Jeep or Canter Safari in advance: This point is very important. Now think that after a lot of research, you have finally chosen a zone. But you thought that you’ll book it later and then that zone is not available. Yes, it’s essential to make your Ranthambore Safari Booking in advance as the park only allows a limited number of vehicles to enter each day in a particular zone. If you think that you’ll make the booking after some days then you might have to change your date and trip plans. It is best and also advised by the booking portals that you should make your Jeep or Canter safari booking in advance to avoid future disappointments. By booking in advance,  you can have the opportunity to select your preferred zone and enjoy a better sighting experience without any regrets.

  1. Have Information About Where To Look: Tigers are those animals that are mostly seen in their common areas, where they usually roam. Ask your guide about their location and go to that area if you’re especially coming to spot tigers. Some of the areas in which tigers are mostly spotted include the Kachida Valley, the Rajbagh Ruins, and the Padam Talao Lake. Take your camera and binoculars if you want to spot the tigers from a distance.

  1. Do Not Shout: Shouting or using any radio or sound is not allowed inside the park. After going inside the park, try to stay silent during the safari. Tigers are those animals who have excellent hearing ability, if they sense that you’re near them then they can go from that place. Stay silent and spot the tigers in their natural habitat. And one more thing, even if you spot them, don’t shout or make sudden movements as they can get startled and accidents can happen.

Conclusion

Tigers are the most famous animals of Ranthambore National Park, but spotting them is not an easy task. By following these tips and tricks, you will increase your chances of spotting tigers in Ranthambore National Park. But even if you don’t see the tiger, don’t get disappointed and enjoy your jeep or canter safari ride in one of the most beautiful parks.
