Honesty, integrity and authenticity are the three principles that make
any piece of content worth consuming. Over the decade we have
witnessed a major shift in how content is created and shared, with the
evolution of technology that played a major role in impacting the
consumption pattern of the audiences. We are a part of a parallel reality
that exists in the digital world where everyday one is bombarded with
information from all around the world.
The question that raises concern here is how can one shortlist the
credible source of information that is not formulated to create false
perceptions that might reflect a certain section of truth with the other
half buried under the sinking boat. This kind of partial truth creates
chaos and confusion, the truth that is often gifted to us in various layers
of manipulated wrapping for the cause of propaganda or a money
making scheme for views, etc.
We as consumers need to become media literate, by transforming
ourselves from being a passive to an active audience that is responsive to
every information that we perceive. With the audience becoming content
creators where they can voice their point of view to the world, there is
no doubt that the constant murder of truth will soon meet its demise as
we get exposed to the other side of the sinking boat.
