Quick note. This is not the part where I tell you to imagine how you will feel in the next fifty years because you didn’t buy what I am selling to you.
Neither is this the part where I tell you to imagine living life on a beach with everything you want on your lap, be it gals or money.
This article will explain what money is about, why you need to make it, and how you can make it.
By the end of this article, you will get resources, that you can check out if you want to, or leave it if you do not want to.
Enough of the crap, let’s get into the real piece of this article.
First, let’s define the term “Money.”
Money means many things to many people.
Some say it is a medium of exchange, for which you can buy goods or services, while others see it as a means of “oppression”, whereby you can use it to control someone else negatively (talk about the capitalist system that makes you work for 60 years in order to receive a pension that won’t even help you.”
In the book History of Money, the author, Jack Weatherford, made a remark by Paul Bohannan “Money is one of the shattering simplifying ideas of all time. . .it creates its own revolution.
This reveals the subtle, yet powerful effect of money.
This same term has been used to buy out nations, like the IMF (International Monetary Fund) led by the United States did after the Second World War, it has been used to kill people, it has been used to give scholarships, it has been used to subject people to cruel hardship, like in most African nations where leaders embezzle money meant for a population of over 100 million people, and watch its citizens starve and die a slow and painful death.
This brings the important definition of money.
Money is an element, that at one point can save a life or at another can destroy another.
Money isn’t just cash.
When used to buy the food you eat, it saves lives. When used to hire an assassin or create a false record of business deals, it destroys another.
So, knowing what money is, why would anyone tell you that you need money?
Second, let’s talk about why you need money.
Money is needed for many things, and five of them are mentioned here.
– Money is needed to buy food to eat.
– Money is needed to build a place to live in.
– Money is needed to create a means for making money (as in building businesses like Microsoft that generate wealth).
– Money is used to gain access to things (like paying for a high-class hotel in Dubai where you pay $20,000 per night).
– Money is used to get access to highly classified information, like paying for a mastermind worth $100k/year.
This is not all that money is used for, but these are the five core things that money is used for, arguably.
So, if your desire is to make money to build a place, eat food, and gain access to what you want, good for you.
Now, that you know why you need money.
The next step is
Third, let’s discuss how you can get this money.
From my research, there are two ways that people get money.
The first is through inheritance, you could look at the children of Warren Buffet or Bill Gates. These are the ones who will live in mansions they never built, drive jets they never paid for, and live classy lives. In a video I watched a certain time, football superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo said that his first son spends $40,000 per week. In Nigeria, N60,000,000 per week.
The second part is by working for it. And I mean both by legal and illegal means.
This latter part has people who work for money by offering a skill in order to get paid for it, or by indulging in arts like drug pushing, homosexual contracts, prostitution, or whatever it is you want to do to make money.
While both lead to cash in the bank, making money illegally has its own severe consequences.
For instance, a drug dealer, who gets busted, risks staying in jail all his life, and also facing the threat of his drug cartels going after his family to protect their secrets. For homosexuals, you risk contracting a disease or whatever it is.
On the other hand, you can make money by offering a skill and getting paid for it.
But this is where many people, including you, have a hard time figuring out how it works, and I’ll tell you why.
You see, making money is not like playing chess where you get to trick one person or outsmart the person. It’s more about providing value, letting the other party measure the value you have given, and reciprocating its equivalent through cash or kind.
Here’s an instance.
When Mark Zuckerberg bought Instagram, he paid $1B in cash plus other shares included for the company. So, Mark weighed the value that Instagram had provided and after measuring it, found it to be worth $1B.
That’s how making money works. You don’t pray for 365 hours and sit down, waiting for money to pour down from the roof. Prayer becomes effective by amplifying the value of your skills before the other party. And even if you don’t pray, you still have to work, to get better at your skills.
However, having just skills isn’t enough, especially in this 21st century. You need the right skills to make money.
For instance, if you were living in the 1800s, you’d survive with skills like plumbing, cutting trees, sowing, or whatever skills that were relevant then.
In this 21st century, people don’t need plumbers “that much” anymore. Not everyone has a broken pipe everyday in your street. If that is your sole means of survival, then you are at the mercy of others.
Instead, you should look for skills that have a large market, and many people are willing to pay for.
You have heard of this before, so why are you still poor?
That brings about one real reason why you are still broke.
CONSISTENCY.
When was the last time you stuck with a skill for 1 full year without trying something else?
The problem isn’t learning e-commerce, coding, affiliate marketing, sales funnel design, public speaking, sales closing or whatever it is that’s reigning in the 21st century.
The problem is that you have never been consistent with any one of them for at least one year (and I suffered from it too for 7 years).
Go through the profile of every business man and you will see they all have the trait of consistency.
Bill Gates has been known for tech for over 50 years.
Warren Buffet has been known for investing in stocks for over 50 years.
Donald Trump has been known for real estate for over 30 years.
The art is in doing one thing over and over until you become successful at it.
In summary,
– Pick a skill that many people are willing to pay for.
– Master that skill for 1 year.
– Offer it to people and make your money.
